Except the main productions listed hereafter, coffee represents 18% of Colombian exports, accounting for one and a half billion dollars. The selling price of coffee was 3.24 dollars in 1997 and it was the source of big hopes in spite of the moderate growth of the farming sector. In 1998, an increase by a 3.4% is expected.
