Agriculture plays a significant role in the economy of the country. Third agricultural GDP in the world, Brazil is one of the leading agricultural powers as regards to numerous productions. The government has strongly encouraged better yield of rural zones. Today, Brazil is the leading producer of coffee, 2nd for soya and sugar in the world and large producer of corn and oranges.
Numerous programs have been initiated over the last two decades to encourage farm products diversification and they gave excellent results.
