Despite its small area, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg offers a variety of sceneries: the forests of the Ardennes, the Mullerthal sculpted rocks, the fertile soils of the Central region, the vineyards along the Moselle river and the wild landscape of the Red Rocks.

Temperate and humid, the Luxembourg climate oscillates between oceanic influences, due to western and south-western winds which bring precipitations year-round, and continental influences, especially in the winter through cold currents and north-eastern winds. Temperatures may vary between 0°C in January and 17°C in July, depending on the region, Oesling being colder than the Moselle valley where temperatures may exceed 18°C.

From January 1st of 2002, the currency in circulation is the Euro. There are some notes of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euros. The nominal values of the coins are the following: 1 cent (or 1/100 of Euro), 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, 1 Euro and 2 Euros.

French is used for written legislation. Moreover, French, Luxembourg and German are used as administrative and judicial languages.
