Transportation
Road
Roads safety is not guaranteed: even though roads and highways are in good condition, drivers often drive dangerously. It is preferable in the event of a non serious accident to try and find an amicable arrangement, since Jordanians are usually badly or not insured. However, in more serious cases, call the police to have a report drawn up. When there are Jordanian victims involved, it is advised to go directly to the nearest police station to protect oneself against a possible hostile reaction from the witnesses. It is advised not to ride local buses, that are badly maintained and not safe, except the "jett". It is preferable to take the interurban taxis connecting the various cities. Useful numbers: Highway Police : 534.3401 or 191.
Rail
It is almost non-existent in Jordan.
Air
The local air fleet is well maintained and practical, but it is only limited to domestic flights between Amman and Aqaba.
Internet
