The currency of the Swiss Confederation is the Swiss franc (CHF OR SFR), 1 CHF = 100 centimes; there are coins of 5, 10, 20 and 50 centimes, coins of 1, 2 and 5 Swiss francs, as well as bills of 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Swiss francs.

The car registration sticker is compulsory in order to use Swiss highways. It is available at border posts, post offices, police stations. It is imperative to use snow tyres as soon as the weather requires it. In the event of an accident, call the police. The car insurance is compulsory. It is better to subscribe a good insurance policy since car repairs are very expensive.

Languages spoken

Official language: German. In Switzerland, the languages used are German (63.7 %), French (19.2 %) and Italian (7.6 %). Other foreign languages are spoken by 8.9 % of the population. It is important to note that German is not necessarily the only language spoken in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Indeed, there are many regional dialects.
