WOMEN IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE -- PORT OF SAN DIEGO TOUR WHAT: Join WIT-SD with our host, the Port of San Diego, for an in-depth tour of San Diego Port's 10th Avenue Terminal and National City Facility. This tour of the many changes occurring in San Diego's Port is generally not open to the public, so don't miss this opportunity. San Diego imports many auto makes, has developed a large refrigerated facility for the importation of fruits to Southern California, and much more. The tour will be followed by dinner, a margarita, and camaraderie at Chuey's Restaurant. WHEN: August 8, 2002, Thursday, 4:00 pm. Please arrive by 3:45 pm since the TOUR BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 4:00 PM. Passenger vans will pick us up from the parking lot specified below, and shuttle us to and from the tour. PARKING: Park for free in the fenced lot adjacent to Chuey's restaurant. WHERE: Chuey's Restaurant, 1894 Main Street, San Diego, Phone 619-234-6937. Take I-5 South. Exit Cesar Chavez Parkway (just before the Coronado Bridge) and follow Cesar Chavez. Turn right onto Main Street and proceed until you see Chuey's Restaurant on the right-hand side. MENU: Choice of Fish Tacos, Fajitas, Taco Salad, or the Chuey Combo Plate plus one Margarita or tea/soda. COST: $18.00 FOR MEMBERS, $25.00 FOR NON-MEMBERS. RSVP: Limited tour slots reserved on a first RSVP basis. Early reservations are strongly suggested. First 22 paid responses are guaranteed a spot on the tour.
